A couple weeks ago Alan kept saying "Abby" and "Lala" whenever he heard someone talk about Daycare. I learned "Lala" is actually "Bella" and her and Abby are his female classmates in the 1-2 year old class. There are also 4 other boys in his class, but he doesn't talk about them!
This morning when I opened his bedroom door and turned on the lamp to get him up, he sat up on his knees and rubbed his little eyes as usual, but then he looked up at me and said, Abby? It was so cute!

Albertson's is my new favorite place
Transaction 1: 1 Mission tortillas pack and 4 Stouffers frozen lunches. Paid 1.99!
Transaction 2: 1 Mission tortillas pack, 4 cans of refried beans & 2 packs of oscar mayer roast beef. Paid 5.49!
All pictured below was 7.48!
Then I went to Safeway and bought 4 12-packs of pepsi soda, 2 vitamin waters, 1/2 gal of milk, breathe right strips & bakery french bread for 13.98.
Sure, you have to do a bunch of little shopping trips at a time, but soon you start to accumulate staples that you can take off the "normal" grocery list like frozen veggies, cereal, chips, cleaning stuff, diapers, canned soups/beans, etc etc...even make-up and hair products! When you are tight on money, it makes a difference!
My next money saver is, after tomorrow (since I have $30 gift cert to use), I'm giving up the acrylic nails until the card is paid off. This is a big one for me b/c I love the professional look of my nails since I work in an office environment. Should start clipping coupons on nail polish to hide my stubby real nails... lol

More Coupon Deals
I quickly swung by a few places during my lunch break and bought the following:
RITE-AID
OOP: 39.13 BUT I received $16 worth of "UP" rewards, which is basically free dollars to spend anytime at Rite-Aid!
Cereal: 2.50 -.70 coupon = 1.80, i also have a mail-in rebate to make this item FREE.
Hair kits: 2/17.98 - $4 in store coupon = 2/13.98 out of pocket and then a $5 UP reward so technically thats 2/8.98 (4.49 each). There was also another $5 off coupon floating around some areas that I couldn't get my hands on. Then they would have been only 1.99 each.
Light bulbs: 1.99 each on sale and you get a 1.99 UP reward with each one, making them basically FREE.
TARGET
OOP: 6.90 (savings of 7.25)
The best deal in this pic is the oscar mayer turkey meat, sale price $2.79. Target had an on-line coupon for .75 cents off the OM cutting board turkey, which our target didn't have. So they let me use that coupon and a $2 mfr coupon I had so it was only .04 cents! Too bad I couldn't do that more than once!
ALBERTSONS
OOP: 8.18 (savings of 18.95)
used 2 BOGO free coupons on the Special K and 2 .70 cent coupons on each of the Cinnamon Pecan Ks. The Steamfresh was the same deal as I posted a couple days ago.

Bargain Hunter!
So I've decided to take up the hobby of Coupon Lady. Here's my first deals I stole today!
These are my findings at TARGET. The total was 16.85, which is a savings of 10.80! I'm using the Jet-Dry Dishwasher cleaner right now so I'll let you know how it works on the hard water stains. So I used a combo of Target coupons and manufacturer coupons (they call this stacking) to get my deals. For example, target has a coupon for 50 cents off any box of Jello geletin or pudding. I then found a coupon from the manufacturer for 55 cents off when you buy 3 boxes. Target's retail price is 52 cents per box so it came out to 51 cents for all three!
These are 2 jumbo packs of diapers (62 diapers total) and 2 packs of baby wipes (144 wipes) from WALGREENS. The wipe packages have coupons on them called "peelies" in the Coupon Lady World for $2 off the wipes when you purchase with a pack of Walgreen's diapers. Walgreens happens to have these wipes on sale for $2 each (they do it to themselves, really), so I paid $6 for each pack of diapers and got the wipes for free. PLUS, after checkout I got a $3 off any walgreens purchase coupon to use next time (these little dandies are called "catalinas.") So I paid 12.96 out of pocket (OOP) and got $3 "back" so technically it was 9.96, right? I decided to use the $3 coupon so I didn't forget about it and bought a $10 item for $7 (item not pictured).
On to ALBERTSONS, and this is my favorite. 3 bags of Steamfresh veggies (the kind you can microwave in the bag) and 3 Kikkoman sauces (I chose Sweet n' Sour and Teryaki Marinade) for a measly 5.16! That's a savings of 8.38. With your Preferred Card, certain Kikkoman flavors are on sale for 1.79. I found 3 different $1 off coupons for those so I got the 3 sauces for 79 cents ea! Then the veggies were on sale for $1 each plus I had mfg coupon for $1 off when you buy three. I only bought 3 to see my best deal (they ended up being 67 cents each) but I may go back and get more while they're on the store sale b/c a dollar each ain't bad either! Oh, and I got a $2 Albertson's coupon after my transaction to use next time an any purchase!
I would love to see that I'm so smart and figured out where to find the best deals on my own but I stumbled upon a little online secret I will share with you. fabulesslyfrugal.com. It will point out what's best to stock up on at Safeway, Albertsons, Walgreens, Target, Rite-Aid and a couple other stores. Even gives you links to the coupon sites!
